Abstract:
In this metal strip stabilizer, electromagnets are arranged on a metal strip manufacturing line which bonds multiple metal strips together and continuously conveys the strips, and the electromagnets, aligned in the metal strip width direction, are used to control, in a contactless manner, the positions of the metal strips conveyed on the manufacturing line, wherein, upon passage of a bond between metal strips, the control involves selective use of electromagnets, the selection of electromagnets being made only from those electromagnets which are arranged in a range that is narrower than the width of the preceding metal strip or the succeeding metal strip, whichever is narrower.
