Abstract:
Provided are: a metallic film with high radio wave transmissivity and electrical insulating properties and having an indium layer, the hue of which has been made to approach blue, without significant increase in production cost or material cost; and a production method therefor. This metallic film is provided with an indium layer formed on a substrate surface. The mean area of the indium particles configuring said indium layer is not more than 20000 nm2. This metallic film production method comprises an indium film formation step for forming an indium layer on a substrate surface by vapor deposition of indium on the substrate surface. In said indium film formation step, indium is vapor-deposited on the substrate surface with the temperature of the substrate surface heated to at least 50°C.
