Abstract:
A metamaterial includes a metal line (100) and a supporting member (10). The length of the metal line (100) is substantially a half of the wavelength of electromagnetic waves, and is wound as a spring. The supporting member (10) fixes the metal line (100) such that the center axis (110) of the metal line (100) is in the direction parallel to an electric field generated between a signal line path (200) having a current flowing therein and a ground (220). The metal line (100) arranged in such manner resonates with electromagnetic waves having a wavelength approximately twice the length of the metal line and has a negative dielectric constant.
