Abstract:
The inventive metastable $g(b)-titanium alloy comprises 1.5-3.5 mass % of aluminium, 4.5-8.0 mass % of molybdenum, 1.0-3.5 mass % of vanadium, 1.5-3.8 mass % of iron, titanium being the rest. Said alloy has such a combination of strength and plastic characteristics which make it possible to use it for producing general use critical parts, including fasteners and various spiral springs, for example for the automobile industry.
