Abstract:
Disclosed is a methanol dehydrogenation catalyst for producing methyl formate, which has good methyl formate selectivity, while exhibiting excellent durability and heat resistance.  The methanol dehydrogenation catalyst for producing methyl formate contains copper-zinc-aluminum oxide, a phosphoric acid compound and an alkali metal bromide.  Also disclosed is a method for producing methyl formate using the catalyst.
