A method for adjusting data fragment distribution: when reaching an adjustment time corresponding to data fragments to be processed, acquiring access frequency information of the data fragments to be processed (S101); on the basis of the access frequency information and a preset gain function, determining the gain data of each data centre corresponding to the data fragments (S102); on the basis of the gain data of each data centre and the number of copies, generating optimal distribution information (S103), and according to the optimal distribution information, adjusting the position of the copies in each data centre (S104). The distribution of data fragments is thus dynamically optimised on the basis of the access frequency and characteristics of the data fragments, without the need to additionally arrange memories or hard disks for storage, thereby reducing transmission bandwidth requirements between data centres.
