Abstract:
A target steering power calculation method, for calculating a target steering power according to an input signal in an electric power steering apparatus, comprises: dividing a target steering power amplification area of which a target steering power value is varied according to the amplitude of the input signal, into a first amplification section and a second amplification section; calculating a target steering power in the first amplification section using a nonlinear interpolation equation; and calculating a target steering power in the second amplification section using a linear interpolation equation.
