Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method and apparatus for compressing radar data. The method for compressing radar data comprises: acquiring data to be compressed, wherein said data is collected measurement data of N transmissions of a laser radar, and N≥1; when said data comprises distance measurement data and signal intensity measurement data, which correspond to each other, compressing the distance measurement data to obtain a first code stream; and predicting the signal intensity measurement data according to the distance measurement data, so as to obtain a second code stream. By means of the present application, the data volume to be compressed can be greatly reduced, and in particular, the more the 0 values are, the higher the compression efficiency is, such that occupied code streams are saved.
