Disclosed are a method, apparatus, and computer storage medium for controlling a data duplication function, said method comprising: a terminal receiving a media access control control element (MAC CE) sent by a base station, said MAC-CE supporting a first network protocol; on the basis of the MAC-CE, said terminal controlling a data duplication function of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity of the terminal, said PDCP entity supporting a second network protocol.
