Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle. A flight restriction database is configured for the unmanned aerial vehicle. The method comprises: receiving update data, returned by a server for an updating request, of the flight restriction database, wherein the updating request carries current position information of the unmanned aerial vehicle; and when determining that the update data of the flight restriction database satisfies a specific condition, controlling the flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle according to the update data of the flight restriction database. The unmanned aerial vehicle completes validity determination of the flight restriction database, and even though the flight restriction database of the unmanned aerial vehicle is not updated in time the unmanned aerial vehicle may still control the flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle according to the validity of a temporary flight restriction region in the previously saved flight restriction database, thereby ensuring the security of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
