Abstract:
A method for estimating pedestrian flow conditions in a specified area, comprising: extracting the current valid frame from a real-time video stream obtained by filming a specified area (210); detecting each pedestrian in the current valid frame, generating characteristic information about each pedestrian, and identifying N single-frame attributes of each pedestrian according to the characteristic information (220), N being a natural number; using a pedestrian re-identification algorithm to identify, according to the characteristic information, the same pedestrian in the current valid frame and in at least one preceding valid frame (230); and determining, on the basis of the result of the pedestrian re-identification algorithm, pedestrians passing through the specified area, and obtaining, by counting the single-frame attributes of the pedestrians passing through the specified area, counted values of N individual attributes of the pedestrian flow passing through the specified area (240).
