Abstract:

A method and apparatus for in-situ online cyclonic activity recovery of a catalyst in an ebullated bed hydrogenation reactor. The method comprises the following steps: (a) deaerating a three-phase mixture consisting of a gas phase, a liquid phase, and a catalyst particle in an ebullated bed hydrogenation reactor to obtain a gas phase and a two-phase mixture consisting of the liquid phase and the catalyst particle; (b) forcing the obtained two-phase mixture to perform rotational movement in the ebullated bed hydrogenation reactor to form a cyclone flow field, and regulating a coupled movement state where in the cyclone flow field, the catalyst particle revolves along the central axis of the cyclone flow field and rotates along its own central axis; and (c) separating the catalyst particle from the two-phase mixture using a centrifugal force generated by the revolution movement of the catalyst particle in the cyclone flow field, intercepting the catalyst particle in the ebullated bed hydrogenation reactor, mixing the clear liquid phase containing no catalyst particle and the gas phase obtained by deareation, and using the mixture as a product to be discharged from the ebullated bed hydrogenation reactor.
