Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method, etc., for manufacturing an optical film, in which curl that occurs in a widthwise end of an optical film is corrected, and it is thereby possible to precisely detect the position of the end of the optical film and to effectively prevent meandering of the optical film. [Solution] The present invention includes: a curl correction step S1 for correcting, through use of a curl correction device 20, a curl C that occurs in a widthwise end of an optical film F1 conveyed in the longitudinal direction thereof; a widthwise end position detection step S2 for detecting, through use of a position detection device 30, the position of the widthwise end of the optical film that has undergone the curl correction step; and a widthwise conveyance position adjustment step S3 for adjusting, through use of a position adjustment device 40, the conveyance position of the optical film in the width direction thereof, on the basis of the position of the widthwise end of the optical film detected by the widthwise end position detection step.
