Abstract:
An apparatus for manufacturing a tubular item, which contains a feeding unit, a wrapping unit adapted to wrap a material sheet fed by the feeding unit into a substantially cylindrical shape, and a welding unit adapted to weld two segments of the material sheet together to form the tubular item. The welding unit is adapted to weld without using soldering materials or adhesives. Since the paper straws are formed by welding raw paper sheets without using any soldering materials or adhesives, there is no auxiliary material used in the process that may otherwise be potentially detrimental to the environment.
