Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a vanadium compound includes an alkali extraction step (step 12) for adding alkali and water, or an alkali solution to raw material ash containing vanadium to obtain an alkali leachate, a solid-liquid separation step (step 13) for solid-liquid separating insoluble matter from the alkali leachate to obtain a leaching filtrate including vanadium, an evaporative concentration step (step 14) for evaporatively concentrating the leaching filtrate to obtain a concentrated liquid, and a crystallization/solid-liquid separation step (step 15) for cooling the concentrated liquid to induce crystallization and recovering a precipitate containing a vanadium compound. The pH of the alkaline leachate is greater than 9 and less than 13.
