Abstract:
In order to measure the entropy of an electrochemical device such as a battery, temperature information of the inside of the electrochemical device to be measured is extracted by measuring the impedance of the electrochemical device while applying an alternating current electrical signal from the outside of the electrochemical device. The entropy value of the electrochemical device is calculated by using the extracted temperature information. To this end, through signal processing of the temperature information of a battery, an irreversible heat amount by resistance heat and a reversible heat amount by entropy heat are calculated. Then, on the basis of a combination of the ratio between the irreversible heat amount and the reversible heat amount and the absolute value magnitude of the irreversible heat amount, the entropy of the electrochemical device is calculated according to the laws of thermodynamics.
