Abstract:
The present invention provides a separation membrane for an electrochemical device, the separation membrane being characterized by comprising a porous substrate and a porous coating layer formed on at least one side of the substrate, wherein the porous coating layer contains a binder resin, inorganic particles, and an ionic dispersant, the inorganic particles include plate-like particles a having a Mohs hardness of 3 or less and a density of 3 g/cm3 or less, and the plate-like particles a include kaolin. The separation membrane for an electrochemical device according to the present invention can achieve thinning and lightening, improve heat shrinkage properties, and prevent pressure-induced damage to the separation membrane.
