Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for obtaining water from air more efficiently, by a simpler method than in the prior art, and at any location, including a location having no liquid water, such as a desert or a mountaintop. The present invention is provided with: a water collecting device (100) having a water collecting tank (2) accommodating a predetermined deliquescent material (4), a stirrer (3) for stirring the deliquescent material (4), and a blower (1) for blowing air onto the deliquescent material (4); and a heating distillation device having a distillation tank (5) for accommodating a deliquescence liquid (4L) containing captured moisture in the water collecting tank (2), a heater (6) for heating the distillation tank (5), and a condenser (7) for condensing water vapor heated by the heater (6) and evaporated from the deliquescence liquid (4L) to make distilled water (W). Air (A) is blown while the deliquescent material (4) is being stirred, moisture contained in the air is captured by the deliquescent material (4) to obtain the deliquescence liquid (4L), and the deliquescence liquid (4L) is heated and distilled by the heater (6) and the condenser (7) to reclaim the deliquescent material (4). The water vapor evaporated from the deliquescence liquid (4L) is condensed and recovered as distilled water (W), whereby water is obtained from the air.
