Abstract:
A method and apparatus for remote control, which are used to reduce time delays in remote control. The method comprises: when a communication module in a vehicle is in a dormant state supporting a remote wake-up function, receiving a wake-up command a remote-control command; according to the wake-up command, enabling the communication module to enter an awake state; and, according to the remote-control command, sending a control message to a component in the vehicle to start up the component in the vehicle or instruct the component in the vehicle to execute an operation indicated by the remote-control command. By sending the remote-control command to the communication module when the communication module of the vehicle is in the dormant state, the communication module can execute remote control immediately after waking up a component in the vehicle, effectively avoiding a time delay introduced by waiting for the component in the vehicle to wake up and then sending the remote-control command, thus improving the promptness of remote control.
