Abstract:
The present application belongs to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method and apparatus for selecting a relay user equipment, and a user equipment and a storage medium. The method for selecting a relay user equipment in the embodiments of the present application comprises: when a remote user equipment fails to establish a relay connection for a proximity-based service, executing a first operation, wherein the first operation comprises at least one of the following: starting a first timer, wherein the first timer is used for timing the related process of establishing the relay connection; and on the basis of a first number of times, stopping a discovery process for a relay user equipment executing the proximity-based service, wherein the first number of times is the maximum number of failures, which is allowed by the remote user equipment, in establishing a relay connection.
