Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving an electronic service guide are provided. The method is a method in which an electronic service guide server operated by at least one processor transmits an electronic service guide to a device, the method comprising the steps of: generating a plurality of service guide delivery units (SGDUs) constituting an electronic service guide in predetermined update units; transmitting the plurality of service guide delivery units generated in the update units to the device through a communication network; and transmitting at least one changed service guide delivery unit to the device when at least one service guide delivery unit of the plurality of service guide delivery units has been changed.
