Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for assigning a communication ID, and a system providing same method. The system for assigning a communication ID of the present invention comprises a plurality of slave battery management systems (BMSs) that are continuously connected to a power line to which power is supplied, and assigns a predetermined communication ID on the basis of a first amount of current applied through the power line, wherein at least one of the plurality of slave BMSs outputs, through the power line, a second amount of current obtained by subtracting an amount of consumption current required for driving from the first amount of current, and the first amount of current corresponds to a value obtained by adding up an amount of consumption current of the slave BMS that receives the first amount of current and an amount of consumption current of at least one subordinate slave BMS that is continuously connected to the slave BMS receiving the first amount of current.
