Abstract:
Provided is a method for attaching a swage nut with which it is possible to expand the range of the length of a swage portion that is appropriate for the plate thickness dimension of a plate to which the swage nut is to be attached. This method for attaching a swage nut includes: a first step S01 for inserting a swage portion 5 into a pilot hole 4; a second step S02 for inserting a deformation preventing pin 13 into the swage portion 5; and a third step S03 for pressing a nut portion 2 and the swage portion 5 in the axial direction to compress the swage portion 5 and press the distal end of the swage portion 5 into the pilot hole 4.
