Abstract:
A method for automatic detection and display of an ultrasound craniocerebral abnormal region, which relates to the field of ultrasound detection. The method comprises: firstly, constructing a skull surface model; then, performing edge detection on a 2D ultrasound image, so as to obtain a skull edge curve; performing fitting on the edge curve and the skull surface model, so as to determine the position of the 2D ultrasound image to determine whether the 2D image has symmetrical characteristics; and finally, performing, by using the symmetrical characteristics of the 2D image, similarity comparison calculation on two regions that are symmetrical to each other, so as to determine whether there is an abnormal region and to determine the position of the abnormal region. The method has the advantages of: first constructing a skull surface model; detecting a skull edge curve of a 2D ultrasound image; performing fitting on the skull edge curve and the skull surface model, so as to determine the specific position of the 2D image to select a 2D image having symmetrical characteristics; and detecting an abnormal region by using the symmetry of the 2D image, and performing segmentation to display the abnormal region, such that the accuracy of abnormal region detection is effectively improved.
