Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for calculating the permeability of a porous medium by using an analysis of a friction flow characteristic variable in the porous medium with respect to a laminar flow and a turbulent flow in consideration of a geometric characteristic and a friction loss characteristic. A method for calculating the permeability of a porous medium according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining hydraulic diameters of multiple reference porous media and friction factor-Reynolds number relationships thereof; deriving a hydraulic diameter-friction factor-Reynolds number correlation of the friction factor-Reynolds number relationships with respect to the hydraulic diameters; and calculating the permeability of a to-be-predicted porous medium by using the hydraulic diameter-friction factor-Reynolds number correlation.
