Abstract:
A method of collecting acrylic acid which comprises the step of collecting acrylic acid with an aqueous medium from an acrylic−acid−containing reaction gas obtained by the catalytic vapor−phase oxidation of propane, propylene, and&sol or acrolein, the step being conducted so as to satisfy the following relationship (1), wherein A is the proportion by weight of the acrylic acid to all condensable ingredients in the reaction gas before collection and B is the proportion by weight of the acrylic acid to the bottom liquid discharged from a collector used in the collection step. By this method, acrylic acid can be efficiently collected from an acrylic−acid−containing reaction gas obtained by the catalytic vapor−phase oxidation reaction. (B&sol A)<1.25 (1)
