Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for conducting phylogenetic analysis of cells. This method involves: (1) comparing, with respect to a plurality of single cells originating from the same individual, RNA sequence data on a transcriptome of each single cell with corresponding genome sequence data and screening sites at which the RNA sequence is different from the genome sequence; (2) screening, among the sites specified by the screening in step (1), a site at which three or more single nucleotide polymorphisms are detected, as a somatic mutation site; and (3) creating a phylogenetic tree of the cells on the basis of base sequence information on the somatic mutation site obtained in step (2).
