Abstract:
This gear grinding machine grinds a tooth flank (27) of a gear workpiece (23) using a grindstone tool (21) having threads (24) in the periphery thereof. In this case, a coolant (100) is supplied toward the tooth flank (27) from the upstream side of a rotation direction of the gear workpiece (23), via a space (101) that is present on the meshing start side of a meshing portion between the grindstone tool (21) and the gear workpiece (23). As the gear workpiece (23) rotates and the threads (24) of the grindstone tool (21) move, the coolant (100) is pulled into the meshing portion between the grindstone tool (21) and the gear workpiece (23).
