The present invention derives an equivalent circuit model of a multi-terminal capacitor with three or more terminals. Provided is a method for creating an equivalent circuit model of a multi-terminal capacitor in which external electrode terminal rows of positive polarity and external electrode terminal rows of negative polarity are arranged in parallel alternately, the method comprising: a step of measuring an S parameter of the multi-terminal capacitor; a step of deriving an overall impedance of the multi-terminal capacitor on the basis of the measured value of the S parameter; a step of creating an equivalent circuit model of two terminals from the derived overall impedance of the multi-terminal capacitor; a step of deriving an equivalent circuit model of a unit cell from the created equivalent circuit model of two terminals; a step of combining the derived equivalent circuit model of a unit cell and an equivalent circuit model of a parasitic component to create a topology of a two-dimensional lattice shape; and a step of setting terminals of the multi-terminal capacitor at nodes of the created topology of the two-dimensional lattice.
