Abstract:
An oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte which contains a mayenite type compound that has a typical composition represented by Ca12Al14O33, and at least one metal element M that is selected from among lanthanum (La) and yttrium (Y), wherein: the metal element M is contained in an amount within the range of 0.1% by mole to 10% by mole in terms of oxide relative to the entirety of the oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte; and the content of the mayenite type compound in the oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte is higher than 60% by mass.
