Abstract:
Provided is a method for decomposing formaldehyde that can be used for actual factory waste water having a high formaldehyde concentration, that has a high formaldehyde decomposition capability, and that can be used in a small-scale treatment facility as well. The present invention includes: a pre-treatment vessel where microbes belonging to Methylobacterium fujisawaense are used; and a post-treatment vessel where microbes belonging to at least one of Pseudomonas putida, Pseudomonas monteilii, and Pseudomonas plecoglossicida are used. Formaldehyde contained in water to be treated is decomposed.
