Abstract:
A method of determining longitudinal and profile modifications to the surface of an instrument tooth (1) linearly conjugating with a gear-wheel being machined consists in determining the modification parameters under the following relation: delta = DELTApr/G, where delta is the modification value of the tool tooth surface in the direction perpendicular to radius r of the location of the contact point on the machining surface (5) in relation to the centre (0) of rotation of the instrument; DELTAp is the required increment of the perpendicular component of the cutting force; G is the rigidity of the system, ensuring synchronous rotation of the article and the instrument, which is reduced in relation to the axis of the instrument.
