Abstract:
A method and device for applying an alignment liquid (4). The method comprises: providing a substrate (1) which comprises a display area (2) and a non-display area (3) provided at the periphery of the display area (2); applying an alignment liquid (4) to the substrate (1), wherein the area to which the alignment liquid (4) is applied completely covers the display area (2) and covers at least a portion of the non-display area (3) at the periphery of the display area (2); and removing at least a portion of the alignment liquid (4) on the non-display area (3) by means of vacuum adsorption.
