Abstract:
Provided are a method for controlling information delivery and a related device. The method comprises: receiving an information acquisition request; assigning a target user to an experimental group or a comparative group; the probability of the target user being assigned to the experimental group being equal to the probability of the target user being assigned to the comparative group; if the target user is assigned to the experimental group, using an actual interest tag group of the target user as the target interest tag group; if the target user is assigned to the comparative group, using a random interest tag group as the target interest tag group; and retrieving and returning recommendation information matching the target interest tag group. In the monitoring solution provided in the present invention, all of the users of the experimental group and the comparative group are users who send advertisement acquisition requests. It is equally probable that a user will be assigned to the comparative group as they will be assigned to the experimental group, such that both groups can have the same amount of users within the same period of time, even at the same time. Thus, it is ensured that the two groups can be compared.
