Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING TRACE SUBSTANCE BY SURFACE ENHANCED RAMAN SCATTERING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/060988
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Method and device for detecting trace substance by SERS substrate in which quick observation
is ensured while excellent practicality is exhibited. The method for detecting
trace substance by surface enhanced Raman scattering comprises a step for mixing
an analyte with metal fine particle colloid provided previously, a step for dripping
mixture of analyte and metal fine particle colloid onto a solid state plane, a
step for drying the dripped mixture on the solid state plane, and a step for irradiating
the fringe portion of the dry body of mixture on the solid state plane with laser
light and observing Raman scattering light. In particular, a dry body structure
in the shape of tree or lump formed at the fringe portion of the dry body is irradiated
with laser light and Raman scattering light is observed. The solid state plane
may be a metal plane having plasmon mirror effect.
