Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for determining a video frame complexity measure, the method comprising: acquiring a current video frame to be processed, dividing the current video frame into a specified number of frame blocks, and calculating inter-frame prediction values and intra-frame prediction values of the frame blocks; determining, on the basis of differences between the inter-frame prediction values of the frame blocks and original pixel values thereof, temporal complexity measures of the frame blocks, and determining, on the basis of differences between the intra-frame prediction values of the frame blocks and the original pixel values thereof, spatial complexity measures of the frame blocks; and using the smaller of the temporal complexity measures and the spatial complexity measures as complexity measures of the frame blocks, and determining, according to the respective complexity measures of the specified number of frame blocks, a complexity measure of the current video frame. The technical solution provided in the present application improves the precision of determining a complexity measure.
