A method and device for loading a startup resource. The method comprises: a mobile terminal acquiring a current situation data group corresponding to a current situation, the current situation data group comprising at least one piece of current situation data for describing the current operating situation (201); the mobile terminal acquiring historical situation data groups respectively corresponding to a plurality of historical situations, each historical situation data group comprising at least one piece of historical situation data for describing the historical operating situation (202); the mobile terminal calculating and obtaining a similarity degree between the current situation and each historical situation according to the current situation data group and the historical situation data groups (203); the mobile terminal determining a historical situation having a similarity degree between same and the current situation satisfying a set condition, and determining a prediction application program corresponding to the current situation according to a historical application program corresponding to the historical situation (204); and the mobile terminal pre-loading a startup resource of the prediction application program into a memory, the startup resource being a resource required to start up the prediction application program (205). Since a mobile terminal predicts a prediction application program to be started up and pre-loads a startup resource required to start up the prediction application program into a memory, when the mobile terminal receives a click operation of a user, the mobile terminal can directly use the pre-loaded startup resource to start up the prediction application program, thereby reducing the time spent by the mobile terminal to start up the application program.
