Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for locating a network fault. The method comprises: acquiring network topology information of a network, the network topology information comprising the connection relationship of each port of each network module in each network device; receiving alarm information of a first port reported by a first network device; determining, according to the network topology information, a second network device where a second port connected with the first port is located; and locating a network fault according to the information of the second network device. That is, the network fault can be located only according to the information of the second network device where the second port connected with the first port that generates the alarm information is located, a large and complex rule base does not need to be built, matching with a large and complex rule base does not need to be implemented, and therefore the efficiency of locating a network fault can be improved.
