Abstract:
Provided are a method and device for managing resources in a cloud platform. The method comprises: determining, according to first state information about a cloud platform, a resource adjustment strategy, the resource adjustment strategy being used to adjust the amount of resources allocated to an application; determining, according to second state information about the cloud platform, the size of an intelligent sliding window (ISW), the ISW being used to indicate the maximum page views (PV) allowed for the application within a unit of time, wherein the first state information and the second state information indicate an operating condition where the cloud platform provides a service for the application; and adjusting, according to the resource adjustment strategy, the amount of resources allocated to the application and adjusting the ISW according to the determined size of the ISW. Therefore, by means of the method and device for managing resources in the cloud platform in the embodiments of the present application, when there is a sudden increase in the amount of user access, a stable and highly available service can be provided by adjusting the amount of resources allocated to an application and the size of an ISW.
