Abstract:
In the present invention, recovered titanium scraps are used as a melting raw material, an additive is added, and high-quality ingots are manufactured. Scraps to which individual identification information (and work process history information) is assigned are passed through an automatic readout means, and the information is acquired and stored in a data server. In the initial stage of ingot manufacturing, from the information stored in the data server, a computation means calculates the necessary combination and the feed speed of each of scraps, sponge titanium, and an additive so as to satisfy the target ingot chemical composition and manufacturing speed. A signal corresponding to the result of calculating the combination and feed speed is sent from the computation means to a feed speed control means of a feeding means for each of the scraps, sponge titanium, and the additive. In the stage after the start of ingot manufacturing, a means for detecting the drawn portion of ingots reads the actual ingot manufacturing speed, and the computation means controls the feed speed of the scraps, sponge titanium, and the additive on the basis of the actual manufacturing speed.
