Abstract:
Provided are road surface sliding friction predicting method and device, which are enabled to predict the sliding friction coefficient of a road surface by modeling the road surface state with a heat balance model and an ice-water-air balance model of a road surface snow-ice layer thereby to evaluate the individual models quantitatively by simultaneous compound analyses, and a program for the method and the device. In the method, prediction data or the like on the climate condition and the traffic condition is set (S100, S101). The heat balance is calculated (S102) on the basis of a premade heat balance model, and the individual balances are calculated (S103) on the basis of the premade ice-water-air balance models. The snow-ice state is calculated (S104). On the basis of this snow-ice state predicting data calculated, the sliding-friction coefficient of the road surface is decided (S105).
