Abstract:
Provided in an embodiment of the present invention is a method and device for preventing giving a gift on a live streaming platform. The method comprises: S1. If there is a gift in a live streaming room, selecting a new gift notification protocol according to a first preset control field; and S2. sending the new gift notification protocol to each viewer client in the live room. Through the present invention, when a gift in the live streaming room is available, a server uses the first preset control field to select the new gift notification protocol to send to the viewer client in the live streaming room. On the one hand, the flexibility of sending the gift notification protocol is increased, making it difficult for a hacker to crack a strategy that prevents giving gifts. On the other hand, a hacker client does not receive the new gift notification protocol, and cannot perceive a gift available to receive in the live streaming room, thereby effectively preventing the hacker from giving gifts.
