Abstract:

A method of stably producing a wally plate (2a) with good quality, where the tip portions of ridges forming a large number of corrugations on the surface of the wally plate are not in contact with each other and grooves are open. To produce the wally plate (2a), clay (5) is placed on the upper face of a stretched rubber sheet (4)(Fig. 1 (A)), and the upper face of the clay (5) is covered by a surface layer (6) of a material that burns when the clay (5) is baked (Fig. 1 (B)). Then, the rubber sheet (4) is contracted to form corrugations on the upper face of the clay (5) and the surface layer (6)(Fig. 1 (C)). After that, the clay (5) is baked and the surface layer (6) is made to disappear by burning to produce the wally plate (2a) (Fig. 1 (D)). In this way, the surface layer (6) prevents the tips of the ridges that form the corrugations from being in direct contact with each other.
