Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates than previous 4th generation (4G) communication systems such as long term evolution (LTE). An operation method of a base station according to various embodiments of the present disclosure includes: a process for determining at least one sub-carrier for allocating a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS); a process for transmitting information about the allocation of the PTRS to a terminal; and a process for transmitting the PTRS to the terminal through the at least one sub-carrier on the basis of the information. The device and method according to various embodiments of the present disclosure can control interference of the PTRS due to adjacent base stations by the base station determining the sub-carrier for allocating the PTRS and providing the information about the allocation of the PTRS to the terminal, and allows the estimation performance for the PTRS to be improved.
