Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SENDING AND RECEIVING DATA
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/014565
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and device for sending and receiving data. The method for sending data comprises: encoding, at an optical line terminal, data to be sent on a plurality of wavelength channels; providing the encoded data to a corresponding laser as a modulation input, so that the laser generates an optical signal representing data; multiplexing the optical signal; and balancing the multiplexed optical signal so as to carry out transmission through an optical transmission link. The method for receiving data comprises: de-multiplexing, at an optical network unit, an optical signal received from an optical transmission link; selecting, from the de-multiplexed optical signals, an optical signal corresponding to a specific wavelength channel; converting the selected optical signal into an electric signal; and decoding the electric signal so as to determine data. According to the solution of the embodiments of the present disclosure, an NG-EPON system supporting a transmission speed of 100Gb/s and over can be realised with low system cost and low complexity.
