Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of computers, and in particular, to a method, device, and server for managing images across cloud servers. The method is applicable to a first cloud server. The method comprises: acquiring layered image information of a layered image file of a service virtual machine on a second cloud server; creating, according to a pre-created installation program virtual machine and the layered image information, a boot partition and a root partition; and creating, on the basis of the boot partition and the root partition, an image corresponding to the service virtual machine. The method can be implemented without any manual operation, and is employed to create, by using a pre-created installation program virtual machine and layered image information of a layered image file on a first cloud server, and on a second cloud server, an image corresponding to a service virtual machine of the first cloud server, saving management costs and increasing management efficiency.
