Abstract:
　The present invention sterilizes the inner and outer surfaces of a container for packing drinking water. A sterilizing agent is sprayed at the outer surface of a container (2) from at least one sterilizing agent nozzle (26a-26d) installed so as to not intersect with the opening of a mouth part (2a) of the container (2), whereby the sterilizing agent is applied to the outer surface of the container. Next, hot water is introduced into the container from a hot water nozzle and the inner surface of the container is sterilized by the heat of the hot water, and heat transferred from the hot water is used to activate the sterilizing agent adhering to the outer surface of the container so that the outer surface of the container is sterilized.
