Abstract:
Provided are a method and a device for synthesizing a protein from a DNA molecule captured in a microchamber, whereby the distance between microchambers can be shortened and thus the density of an array can be increased. Microchambers (32) are arranged at a high density. A DNA solution (34), which has been diluted so that one DNA molecule on average can be captured, is enclosed in the microchambers (32). Then, mRNA is synthesized using the one DNA molecule on average as a template. Based on this mRNA, a protein (37) is extracellularly synthesized.
