Abstract:
A method and a device thereof for controlling the display of a display device (10), and the display device. The display device (10) comprises a backlight unit (12) and a display panel (14), where the backlight unit (12) comprises multiple backlight zones (122), each backlight zone (122) is independently driven, and the display panel (14) comprises multiple display zones (142) corresponding one-to-one to the backlight zones (122). The method comprises: allowing the display panel (14) to display a test image, where the pixels of the test image are provided with a same grayscale value; acquiring the brightness of each display zone (142) of the display panel (14); determining a compensation coefficient on the basis of the brightness of each display zone (142); adjusting backlight data of the backlight zones (122) on the basis of the compensation coefficient to acquire adjusted backlight data of each backlight zone (122); providing the adjusted backlight data to the backlight unit (12) for use by the display panel (14) in displaying.
