Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for uplink synchronization of a terminal in an inactive state in a wireless communication system. A method for uplink synchronization of a terminal in an inactive state in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving periodic uplink transmission resource configuration information from a base station; receiving a timing advance command (TAC) from the base station and starting a timing alignment timer (TAT); receiving a radio resource control (RRC) release message including a suspend configuration from the base station and transitioning to an inactive state; if a predetermined trigger condition is satisfied in the inactive state, performing uplink transmission to the base station on the basis of the periodic uplink transmission resource configuration information, wherein the predetermined trigger condition includes at least one of a condition related to a time elapsed after the TAT starts, a condition related to a time remaining until the TAT expires, a condition related to the expiry of a periodic notification area update timer, and a condition related to reception of a timer advance (TA) update command from the base station, and the uplink transmission includes at least one of small data and dummy data; and receiving an additional TAC from the base station to restart the TAT.
